Haywood County Native Richard Samuel Passmore, 52, of Trinity, formerly of Waynesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a native of Haywood County, but had lived in Trinity for the past eight years. Richard had worked in the furniture industry and he was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late James W. and Janette Grant Passmore of Trinity. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Brandy Passmore, of Trinity; a brother, Scotty Passmore, of Asheboro; and a grandson, Colton Pena. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, in the Bethel Hill Baptist Church in the Nantahala Community with the Rev. David Postell officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel Hill Baptist Church prior to the services.
