Eric Best, 48 of Crabtree passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Mission Hospital. He was born in Haywood County on July 5, 1961 to Dan and Judith Annette Burgess Best. He worked construction for Power Plant Maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa M. Best and a son, Jonathan Keever Best.
In addition to his parents, Dan and Judy Best of Crabtree, he is survived by a son, Stephen Best; three sisters, Cynthia Nelson, Sonya Potter and her husband, Roger and Debra Best and her husband, Danny Clark; and his fiancé, Kim Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Barberville Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Holland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service at the church. At other times the family will be at the home of Dan and Judy Best.
Burial will be in Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery. Jeff Best, Michael Dan Mathis, Damon Nelson, Danny Clark, Roger Potter, Kenneth Wayne Best, Larry Nelson and Walter Eugene Best will serve as pallbearers.
