Greg Christopher

I have been married to Sherri for 27 years. We have settled down in Clyde after I've had 7 duty stations throughout North Carolina while serving on the Highway Patrol. I retired from the NCSHP in February 2013 and was appointed Sheriff of Haywood County on 4 March 2013 to fulfill the retired sheriff's term. I also retired from the NC Army Guard, 105th MP Battalion Headquarters in 2003. Sherri works in the guidance office at Tuscola High School. We have 3 children. Emily is a senior at Lee University majoring in discipleship ministry. Chad is a junior at Guilford College where he is majoring in sports science and physical therapy. He is also a 2 year starter at wide receiver on the Quaker's football team. Abigail just graduated from Tuscola and is an incoming freshman at Lee University. Our family attends New Covenant Church in Clyde.

Between serving the citizens of Haywood as the Sheriff along with church and other activities we rarely have a moment to catch our breath.
