ASHEVILLE — Dale Ammons, 43, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Born on June 26, 1961 in Jackson County, he was the son of William “Bud” Ammons and Frankie Hensley Ammons of Waynesville.

Mr. Ammons was a member of Grace Baptist Church of west Asheville, where he served as a deacon and youth group leader. He attended DeVry University of Atlanta, Ga., and was an electronics technician manager at R.D.M. Electronics Inc. for 16 years.

Mr. Ammons was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Viola Ammons, and his maternal grandfather, Frank Henley. He was a loving father and husband.

In addition to his parents, Dale leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Nichole Greene Ammons of the home; a daughter, Heather Michelle Ammons of the home; three sons, Jonah, Nathaniel and Zechariah Stokley of the home; a sister, Teresa Johnson of Waynesville; and his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Hensley of Sylva.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Eastside Baptist Church in Nebo, with pastors Bill Long, Robbie Waddle and Wayne Atkinston officiating. Interment will follow at the Garrett-Hillcrest Cemetery in Waynesville. The family recieved friends Sunday afternoon at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion.
