Stu was working in Virginia area and was killed in a car wreck on his way back to Waynesville. Ironically, he died August 27, 1987 which was 2 years almost to the day after his childhood friend Chuck Hargrove was Killed in a plane crash. Stu's parents Dr.and Mrs. Eugene Harpe live in Waynesville
Who could ever even say Stu without adding Chuck to the sentence somewhere? They were best friends. I believe they are together in Heaven having as much fun there as they did on this earth. God works in mysterious ways.
Having said that, Stu taught me how to dance on a toilet seat at one of his ROSTA parties. Now that was quite an experience. Life was never boring around Stu. Not for a minute.
He was so much fun and a really great friend. Miss him so much.
